The CIR Risk Management Awards 2015 took place on the 12th November and the deserving winners were announced at a prestigious Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the Cumberland Hotel, London.
Network Rail were big winners of the night, taking home the ‘Risk Management Innovation of the Year’ award, for their use of SharpCloud Software in visualizing risk.
The Risk Management Awards recognize those individuals, organizations, and teams that have significantly added to the understanding and practice of risk management. Judged by an independent panel of experts for exceptional performance, the awards provide an opportunity for organizations and individuals to showcase their best products, projects, and people.
SharpCloud is proud to be working with the risk team at Network Rail and for this award to have been achieved after only six months of implementation of the software, is very rewarding for all involved.
“SharpCloud has helped collaboration across organisational silos by highlighting the interdependencies between strategic risk in a dynamic and compelling way.”
- Nico Lategan, Senior Enterprise Risk Specialist
This year saw risk management face up to newer challenges as well as the more well rooted issues, and gain a more public face due to mainstream coverage. Network Rail were shortlisted for several awards including the User Implementation Award which was a joint listing as Network Rail and SharpCloud, and Best Use of Technology in Risk Management.
Today’s Risk Managers need to be able to engage in real-time stories with the right data, and report time and relationships across multiple projects quickly and efficiently. Being able to communicate complex issues to all levels of the business and keep them engaged and interested is nearly impossible with static, linear presentation software.
SharpCloud is a visual communication and dynamic presentation tool that allows you to create interactive, non-linear, highly detailed and engaging content.
“SharpCloud is a great tool for executives looking for meaningful insight across the business. Here at Network Rail our enterprise risk team has created visually intuitive business risk stories for review with the board. These SharpCloud stories have allowed us to uncover new insight, in particular around the strength of relationships between risks and projects with the added ability to dive down into details when required. Without SharpCloud these strategic discussions would be much less productive and less meaningful.”
- Helen Hunter-Jones, Head of Group Risk
