Packed with user-centric enhanced features, we’ve made SharpCloud easier to navigate, share, and gain a clear and comprehensive understanding of the information, data, and insights presented in your stories. These updates have been made to make it easier for you to use and govern the valuable information within your story and portfolio.

The new version has been improved to serve our two audiences better; Creators and Collaborators. SharpCloud Creators have full access to create and customize SharpCloud stories, while Collaborators can better govern stories by editing and correcting data. These user changes make it easier to navigate through your SharpCloud stories and unlock hidden insights in your data that transform the way you and your business work.

Here's the key things you need to know:

• We've renamed the 3 share permissions to Create (Admin), Collaborate (Edit) and Read-Only (View).
• Creators can easily switch modes and preview how their published and shared stories will appear for other share permissions using the mode tabs at the top of your story.

Let’s explore the features that will be introduced to everyone as part of this update that will help you unlock greater strategic power in your portfolio management:

Relationships

You can explore relationships in your data in various dimensions: directly related interdependencies, those one or two levels removed, and an up/down view spanning your entire data set available in this view, so that you can identify potential gaps between your strategy and execution, no matter what user mode you’re working in.

Data Table

All users can now access the data behind your view with a single click, see relationships, and even export it to an Excel spreadsheet. This provides you with a more focused view of the comprehensive data table and effectively replaces a classic spreadsheet for those members of your team who might not want to visualize their data.

We have enhanced the features for Creators to allow for easier story creation, editing and sharing, allowing each creator more control and flexibility to configure the information and visualization they build for their team. Our most important feature added is the ability to easily switch between modes so that creators can quickly experience what their published and shared stories will look like for collaborators.

Saving & Resetting Views (featuring Filters)

We have massively improved the auto-saving feature in SharpCloud. This means that (apart from changes to interactive filters) all your changes are saved automatically. By interactive filters not automatically saving, Creators can keep adjusting the visible items within a view without changing the way non-creators interact with the view. If you’d like to save a filtered view, you can overwrite the more comprehensive view or save it as a new view.

View Strip

Customize the view strip for your story - choose between icons, an expanded panel or a hidden view panel to ensure your team can navigate your story efficiently, and in a way that makes sense for them. All users can see where their teammates are working in the story, so you aren’t duplicating work and create a more aligned workflow. Click, drag, and drop a view in the view strip to re-order them and double click to change their name, or thumbnail icon

Panels

In the all-new SharpCloud Version 11, we have provided new tools to make performing key actions a lot easier as a SharpCloud Creator. Easily add a new panel, edit the item panels, and hide panels that don’t have the appropriate content, keeping your story clean and making it easier for Collaborators to understand. These updates to panels help you deepen your data insights and ensure that crucial information remains omnipresent so you can provide your team with a more holistic view of your strategic landscape.
