SharpCloud featured in the Financial Times

"The first of its kind in the world"

- Financial Times on the UK Connected and Automated Mobility Roadmap to 2030.

Zenzic has launched the world’s first self-driving roadmap, the UK Connected and Automated Mobility Roadmap to 2030, using SharpCloud. The Financial Times have published their thoughts on the roadmap and the 500 milestones that will support the development, trialling and deployment of self-driving technologies and services.

"SharpCloud has been a valuable tool and has enabled us to communicate the power of the roadmap to a wider stakeholder community very effectively."

- Daniel Ruiz, CEO, Zenzic

Roadmap for the future

The 'first of its kind' roadmap is delivering invaluable insight across the industry and clearly shows the connections, cross-sector interdependencies and collaboration required to get self-driving vehicles on Britain’s roads in significant numbers by 2030.

The roadmap is a tool, created by and intended for multiple sectors, forging new relationships and achieving collaboration across industries. It provides direction for decision makers, investors and policy makers for the mobile future.

Based on four key themes: Society and People, Vehicles, Infrastructure and Services, the roadmap also identifies six ‘Golden Threads’ that show areas dependent on cross-industry collaboration and parallel developments to achieve the goal of self-driving services being accessible to the public by 2030.

As published in the Financial Times on Tuesday 3rd September...

The UK milestones for a driverless future

The UK Connected and Automated Mobility Roadmap to 2030, published by Zenzic, a body set up by the government and industry to co-ordinate self-driving efforts “starts to introduce objectivity and remove all of the hype that has been in the past”, said Zenzic chief executive Daniel Ruiz.

The map, the first of its kind in the world, is more of a project-management chart with years as milestones and multiple strands tying together how services, infrastructure, vehicle technology, the regulatory framework and consumer and business acceptance are expected to come together to make our autonomous future a reality.

KTN has collated publicly available information about Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAV) organisations in the UK, including their areas of expertise and resources, and has mapped the relationships between them into a SharpCloud story, creating a map of the UK CAV ecosystem.
