Sue Nugent has been working in this position at Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service for the last 17 years, where no days are the same and risk is at the core of emergency service activities.
She is a founding member of Fire & Rescue Indemnity Company Limited (FRIC) which was formed in 2015 when a group of fire & rescue authorities identified a gap in the market for a set of products that combined the benefits of insurance with those of risk and financial pooling.
FRIC provides risk protection products for Members’ core risks including vehicle fleet, liability, and property. As a discretionary mutual, FRIC is owned by Members and operates solely for their benefit.
