It's another win for Network Rail
Huge congratulations to the Light Rail Team at Network Rail for winning a major award for their Tram Train Learning Hub.
Described as ‘creating an invaluable resource for the industry with far-reaching benefits for everyone’, the Hub, hosted in SharpCloud, was selected as Project of the Year (under €50m) at the Global Light Rail Awards in London.
The judges’ citation is below:
“Taking the top spot…is an entry described as ‘creating an invaluable resource for the industry with far-reaching benefits for everyone’. In meticulously cataloguing a complex project and delivering that documentation in a free-to-use digital resource, this small team have delivered a manual for future light rail projects.
As a ‘warts and all’ database, hundreds of reports, regulatory documents and images detail planning, construction and operation have been collated and organised, giving future promoters a vital rundown of the ‘dos and don’ts’ of tram-train projects.
With over 200 registered users already, and in many countries, for its TRAM-TRAIN LEARNING HUB, it’s congratulations to the LIGHT RAIL TEAM from NETWORK RAIL.”
