using relationships to filter out noise

Filter out the noise for more informed decision making

Filter through the noise and get down to what really matters within your data!

“SharpCloud cuts out the noise, highlights the areas to focus on and prioritizes the work to be done” – Phil Williams, Team Defence Information

Interactive filters

What are filters?

SharpCloud filters are used to cut through the noise to provide a clear picture of your data.  You can filter your data by attributes, categories or tags, enabling only the most relevant items in your story views to be presented.

There are three main types of filters:

Interactive filters – this filter enables you to play around with the data you can see in your view.  You can filter your items based on attributes, categories or tags.

  • Sometimes its important to see the full picture but also have the ability to dive down into more specific areas - that's where interactive filters come into play! Use these to play around with your data in real time.

Base filters – this filter is used in the setup of your view and controls which items actually show up in your view. Apply this filter using the view setup menu.

  • Base filters are used in those views where you want to get right down to the point.  Control which items are even allowed to be visible in your view.

Enterprise filters - If you want to get even more advanced, you can apply Enterprise filters, which actually increase the scope of your view to incorporate items from other related stories.

  • The enterprise filter enhances your view, rather than narrowing it, by providing a clear picture and presenting you with the most relevant items.
